ACC.08 provides a perfect opportunity for Cardiac Care Associates (CCAs) to receive groundbreaking continuing education and network with peers and ACC leadership. Hundreds of CCAs attend each year and find the opportunity to learn alongside their physician colleagues invaluable. CCAs learn what the physicians learn!  CCAs can also attend sessions and events designed specifically for them. Some sessions and event that are not to be missed include:

 ACC.08

• Cardiac Care Associate Reception. Network with your registered nurse, nurse practitioner, physician assistant, clinical nurse specialist, and CV pharmacist peers, converse with leaders in cardiology and enjoy the open bar and tasty hors d’oeuvres.  Event Date: Saturday, March 29th at 6:30 p.m.
• Dedicated CCA Education.  In addition to the huge variety of education currently enjoyed by physicians and CCAs at the Annual Scientific Session, CCA specific will be featured on Sunday morning and Sunday afternoon.  Specific topics will be posted in the coming weeks and months.
• CCA Community Lounge: Where can you go to relax, check your e-mail, and be surrounded by your CCA peers? The answer is easy, visit the CCA Community Lounge. Located in the convention center, the CCA Community Lounge will be your base of operations when navigating ACC.08. The lounge will be open Sunday through Tuesday during the meeting.
• All-Chapter Reception. Enjoy food and beverages while you meet chapter and national leadership. Chapters will have tables set up which will provide attendees with an opportunity to discuss local advocacy issues and educational events. This is a good opportunity for CCAs to meet peers that live and work in their local area. Event Date: Sunday, March 30th from 6:00 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. Location TBD.
• Spotlight Sessions, Mini-Courses, Meet the Expert Sessions, Symposia, and Core Curricula. There are educational opportunities on almost every topic of interest. Watch for a list of sessions not to be missed in the coming weeks and months.
• 3rd Annual Clinical Pharmacology in the Management of Cardiovascular Disease. Although not technically part of ACC.08, this pharmacology program is scheduled to coincide with the Annual Meeting so that you can get the most bang for your buck when you travel to Chicago. The ACC has made registration for this event easy. When you register for ACC.08 you can register for this event at the same time. You will be able to make sure you have the hotel nights you need to attend this pharmacology event and ACC.08. Click here for additional program details.
